Indonesia has a variety of ethnicities, nations and different languages. Indonesian society is often referred to as an agricultural society by living depending on the land. However, with industrialization this has changed from agriculture to industry, both from large industries to small industries, home industries and informal business industries which greatly impact the values of local wisdom of the local community, especially in the people of Ngoro Village.
This research was conducted with the aim of describing: (1) an overview of Ngoro Village, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency; (2) general description of industrialization in Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency; (3) the values of local wisdom in Ngoro Village, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency; (4) the benefits of industrialization for the people of Ngoro Village; (5) the impact of industrialization on the values of local wisdom in Ngoro Village, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency.
This research uses descriptive qualitative. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. To maintain the validity of the data, this was done by extending observations, increasing the persistence of observations, and triangulating the data. Data analysis activities began with the pre-field stage for exploratory studies, compiling research designs, and exploratory studies as well as with the research implementation stage to collect data, compile data, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded as follows. First, the land in the village is used for settlement, industry, housing, business, agriculture, and residential areas. The livelihoods of many people are company employees, traders, entrepreneurs or other jobs. Their lives are more prosperous with good means of transportation, luxury homes, a comfortable life, higher education and a lot of investment.
Second, industrialization in Ngoro Village is growing rapidly. There are large industries, small industries, home industries and informal businesses. Ngoro Village has an industrial area called Ngoro Industri Persada (NIP) in which there is a Bonded Area or Export Processing Zone (EPZ). The land used is barren or dry land with good water and people who can accept industrial presence. These areas are put together so that they can be controlled more easily, quickly, focused and more neatly. Social activities in the Genta (Village Love Movement) organization really help the lives of the local community.
Third, the values of local wisdom in Ngoro Village can be seen from the activities carried out in Punden / pesarean, umpak and Kepo trees such as tahlilan, istigosahan, selametan and tumpengan. Religious activities such as tahlilan, pembaan, Khatam Al-Qur'an and recitation, as well as mutual cooperation activities by helping neighbors when building houses, building mosques / helping to clean mosques, helping to clean houses and helping people in times of trouble such as when people die .
Fourth, the benefits of industrialization for the people of Ngoro Village are that the people are closer to looking for work, their lives are more secure by working as employees of companies, traders or business places or dwellings they do. Thus, the poverty rate and unemployment rate in Ngoro Village are reduced and people's lives are more prosperous.
Fifth, the values of local wisdom that exist in Ngoro Village have faded or even disappeared. The values of local wisdom that are fading are slametan and tumpengan on the kepo tree, punden / pesarean and umpak, the event of keleman in punden / pesarean, religious activities and mutual cooperation. Meanwhile, the missing local wisdom values are the sign / tayuban event. This happens because of the busy community who always work hard to fulfill their daily lives. Thus, people's lives become busier, selfish, individualistic and materialistic and make people's livelihoods change from agriculture to industry.
Based on the results, the researchers suggest: (1) For the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study program as knowledge, information and references regarding the impact of industrialization on local wisdom values, (2) For the Head of Ngoro Village and Ngoro Village Officials to better protect and preserve the values the value of local wisdom in Ngoro Village, (3) The community must be smart in dividing time between family, community and other social activities, (4) the government must pay attention to and preserve the wisdom values around the industry, (5) For Industrial Estates in Ngoro Industri Persada (NIP) increases supervision, concern and existing infrastructure, (6) for industry owners pay more attention to the surrounding community, (7) the Genta organization (Cinta Desa Movement) is more innovative in its social activities, (8) further researchers are more critical and creative in observing people's life.
